The Supplements and Superfoods I Currently Consume.
Providing my body with the nutrients, vitamins and minerals that it deserves and requires to thrive, is something that I make a top priority as far as my health and wellbeing goes. Over the last 4-5years as I have been learning more and more about health and wellness. I have experimented with various superfoods and supplements. Some good and some not so good. However I feel as though as of recently I have found myself being more consistent with my choices and which supplements and superfoods I am choosing to consume.
When you are first beginning your health and wellness journey, I will be the first to admit that it can be a little overwhelming. There is SO much information and variety out there, so I understand that deciding which products you personally want to start using can be a tough decision. For me personally, I found comfort in researching what products other people found beneficial for their overall health, when I first started the journey of taking charge of mine.
Just the other day I was pondering this thought, which has now lead me to writing this post. I want to be able to help others and share ideas on some products you may not have yet heard of, or come across.
Before you let the name scare you away, let me first start by saying that Diatomaceous Earth is my holy grail when it comes to the supplements I use. I stumbled across this product years ago now and I have been using it ever since. So much so, that I have managed to convince a large number of my friends and family to start using it and they love it just as much as I do!
What exactly is diatomaceous earth? Diatomaceous earth is a completely natural product delivered straight from the earth. It is a type of sand that consists of fossilised algae and is full of vitamins and minerals (the most common being silica.), however it also provides a number of other benefits to your health.

TIP: Ensure you’re purchasing food grade diatomaceous earth as there are other versions out there that are not safe for human consumption.

Barley Grass Powder
We all know that leafy greens and green vegetables in general are so important for our overall health. However unless you are making salads on a regular bases, the leafy greens that are so important for our health can be missed. This is why I love incorporating some form of plant based green powder into my diet. I typically add these to my morning smoothies because all of the other ingredients hide the bitter taste that these green powders can typically have. But with that being said the flavour is worth how healthy these powders leave me feeling and for the last twelve month I have been loving my barley grass powder in particular.
